BUILDING RENTAL AGREEMENT

  1. * BUILDING WILL BE RENTED for the agreed upon price as quoted in this contract.  To reserve your date a NON-REFUNDABLE $50.00 deposit is required upon the signing of this contract, and will be subtracted from the final payment, which IS DUE FOURTEEN (14) DAYS PRIOR TO THE DAY OF THE FUNCTION.
  • *ANY DAMAGE TO THE BUILDING, PROPERTY, OR EQUIPMENT by the customer, their guests or agents, will be the responsibility of the customer renting the building.  A security deposit of $150.00 is required two weeks prior to the date of the rental as security for the faithful performance of the terms of this agreement.  Any damages to the premises and/or equipment, and/or additional cleaning thereof shall be the responsibility of the customer.  The security deposit shall be returned to the customer, OR shall be subtracted from the final bill.  All remaining balances owed shall be billed to the customer.
  • *SMOKING IS PROHIBITED IN ALL AREAS OF THE BUILDING.  Please ensure that all guests are aware of our NON-SMOKING POLICY.  Customer is responsible for enforcement of our non-smoking policy.  Smoking is permitted outside of the building only, and in no circumstances shall smoking residue be left lying on or about the grounds anywhere on the premises.
  • *THE ASSOCIATION WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE for damage or loss of property, personal, rented or otherwise.  Customer agrees to indemnify and hold HAARA, its officers, employees, and agents harmless in all cases of loss or injury for any reason, including cases of negligence.
  • *MAXIMUM TIME FOR RENTAL OF THE BUILDING IS FIVE (5) HOURS from the time the guests arrive, this INCLUDES CLEAN UP TIME.  THE PREMISES MUST BE VACATED BY MIDNIGHT (12:00 A.M.)
  • *PLEASE NO DECORATIONS ON THE WALLS.
  • *CUSTOMER MAY PROVIDE: ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.  HOWEVER, CUSTOMER MUST PROVIDE ICE AND CUPS.  HAARA, its officers, employees, and agents assume NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY for any person consuming alcoholic beverages while on our premises or thereafter.  Customer agrees to indemnify and hold HAARA, its officers, employees, and agents harmless in all cases. IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THE BAR PREMATURELY IF ANY GUEST(S) HAVE HAD TOO MUCH TO DRINK, OR APPEARS INTOXICATED AND/OR TERMINATE SERVING ALCOHOL TO ONE OR MORE GUESTS.  In accordance with Pennsylvania State Law.  Customer is prohibited from serving alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of twenty-one (21).
  • *WE HAVE A MAXIMUM CAPACTITY OF 150 GUESTS if it is necessary to accommodate a Band or DJ.
  • Customer agrees to clean ALL areas of the premises that are rented and return the same in as good a condition as at the commencement of the agreement.  This includes, but is not limited to: dishware, kitchen area, restrooms, floors, and trash.
  1. Customer warrants that no illegal activity shall take place at any time.
  1. Customer is renting the social hall, restrooms, and kitchen area only, and is NOT permitted in spaces reserved for employees and/or spaces used for HAARA operations.
  1. No pets, emotional-support or otherwise, are permitted on the premises. Bona fide service animals excepted.
  1. Customer warrants that they have read, understand, and will comply with this agreement and the “Rental Dos and Don’ts” which are attached herewith.
  1. In the event that customer breeches any term of this agreement, HAARA reserves the right to immediately terminate this agreement, and customer and guest(s) shall immediately vacate the premises.  All monies paid by customer shall be forfeited and any additional costs associated shall be the responsibility of the customer.  Returned check fee is $50 in addition to any additional costs.

Rental DO’s and Don’ts

NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING AND NO DECORATIONS ON THE WALLS.

  1. ALL GARBAGE IS TO BE PUT OUTSIDE IN THE DUMPSTER.  GARBAGE BAGS ARE IN THE KITCHEN NEXT TO THE DISHWASHER.
  • MAKE SURE KITCHEN HAS BEEN SWEPT AND MOPPED ALSO RESTROOM.  (MOP AND BUCKET IN KITCHEN) EMPTY ALL TRASH CANS INCLUDING RESTROOM.
  • IF YOU CHOOSE TO PUT SOMETHING ON THE SIGN OUT BY THE ROAD, YOU MUST REMOVE IT AT THE END OF YOUR EVENT. THE LETTERS ARE IN THE KITCHEN UNDER THE MIXER.  A-M IN ONE BOX, N-Z IN ANOTHER BOX.
  • YOU MAY USE THE REFRIGERATOR AND STOVE, AND ANY UTENSILS IN THE KITCHEN.  YOU MUST ENSURE APPLIANCES ARE CLEANED AFTER USE AND UTENSILS ARE WASHED AND PUT AWAY.
  • BROOM AND DUSTPAN ARE FOUND IN THE SMALL ROOM BY THE STAGE and RAMP.  MAKE SURE SOCIAL HALL IS SWEPT AFTER THE RENTAL.  (IF FLOOR IS STICKY, PLEASE MOP AREA)
  • PLEASE KEEP ALL CHILDREN OFF THE STAGE AND RAMP.  IT IS NOT A PLAY AREA.
  • PLEASE KEEP THE SOCIAL HALL AND KITCHEN THE WAY YOU FOUND IT, CLEAN!
  • IF WE ARE TO CONTINUE RENTING THE SOCIAL HALL, WE NEED YOUR COOPERATION.  THANK YOU!
